Teeth Cleaning
Emmi Pet is ultrasonic dental care for your dog. Using ultrasonic wave technology, it kills bacteria and pathogens in your dog’s mouth. The waves penetrate 12mm below the gum line, unlike traditional brushing which only tackles bacteria present on the gumline and above.
The Emmi Pet is non-invasive, completely painless and silent, does not vibrate and no pressure is needed. The brush head is held against each tooth for around 30-60 seconds. Most dogs tolerate this well, but we offer an initial consultation to ensure your dog is happy with the process.
Initial Consultation & Session
A 30-minute consultation including a personal brush head and first treatment in which we will also assess the recommended number of treatments for your dog.
Individual Session

FAQs...
Why Is Dental Care Important?
Dogs have an impressive set of teeth, 42 in total as an adult. However, veterinarians point out that 80 percent of all dogs over the age of three require dental or gum treatment. The diagnosis here is tartar, gingivitis and periodontitis, which can lead to tooth loss. A scheduled dental care is the best to keep dog teeth healthy.
Does It Hurt The Dog?
No! The Ultrasound technology is completely painless. There is also no noise or vibration from the brush and the toothbrush just needs to be held against each tooth for approximately 30 seconds, so no brushing or scrubbing is necessary, most dogs very quickly accept the process.
What If My Dog Doesn't Like It?
I would never force a dog to have the treatment, some dogs take a few sessions to learn to accept the brush, my own dog included! However, if I am unable to settle your dog to accept the treatment within a few sessions then I would discuss this with you and if we are unable to continue, any payments already made for future treatments would be refunded.
My dog doesn't have any tartar is it worth me having the treatment?
Yes! Prevention is always better than cure! The system kills bacteria in the dog's mouth which is the main cause of gum problems and plaque build-up. By having regular sessions alongside your dog's regular groom, you can help to prevent the tartar from attaching to the teeth and keep those pearly whites sparkling for years to come!
How quickly will I see a difference in my dog’s teeth?
There is no definitive answer to this as it depends on the condition of the teeth at the start of the treatment. If the teeth have very heavy plaque deposits it may take around 10 treatments or more to see a difference, and your dog would need to have an intensive course of treatments initially to remove this.
If your dog only has a small amount of tartar build-up then you will see a difference more quickly, although this depends on how frequently you bring your dog for treatment.
This will all be discussed during your initial consultation.
